Almonds, Amandula Almonds are anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, emollient and are also used as a tonic. They are also a great source of vitamin E and minerals including magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron as well as providing an excellent amount of calcium, more than any other nut. Almonds contain several phytochemicals thought to low bad cholesterol levels and contribute to a healthy heart. The nuts are high in monounsaturated, a healthy fat which aids in lowering the risk of heart disease. Almonds are high in protein with almost no carbohydrates, an ideal food ideal for anyone with blood sugar issues.

Apricot Apricots contain a high mineral content that is helpful with the circulatory, digestive, and respiratory systems. The high copper and iron content increases the hemoglobin in the blood while the Vitamin A helps to reduce skin disorders and improve eyesight. The fruit has been shown to inhibit cancer formation and prevent heart disease while for digestion it reacts as an alkaline, breaking down food particles and acts as a laxative.

Brazil Nuts Brazil nuts have the highest amount of selenium than any other nuts. Selenium is a powerful antioxidant which has been proven to protect against heart disease and cancers and to slow the ageing process while stimulating the immune system.
